Santosham (Telugu: సంతోషం, English translation: Happiness) is a 2002 Telugu film which stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Shriya Saran, and Gracy Singh.It was dubbed in Hindi as "Pehli Naazar ka Pehla Pyaar", basking on Gracy Singh's appearance in (2002) while it was subsequently dubbed into Tamil 5 years later as "Santhosha Vanille" basking on actress Shriya, who had bagged the movie Sivaji opposite Tamil Superstar Rajnikanth.Karthik (Nagarjuna) is a rich architect in Ooty.Padmavathi takes her own sweet time to accept Karthik's love. Bhanu encourages their love and gives courage to Padmavathi.Padmavathi flees from home and marries Karthik. Karthik and Padmavathi migrate to New Zealand and they give birth to a kid named Lucky.Rama Chandraiah has a very big joint family.When Karthik visits Rama Chandraiah's place he gets mixed responses from different people in the house.Over a period of time, Karthik impresses them all and when he was about to go back to New Zealand, Rama Chandraiah expresses his repentance for whatever happened and says that he is accepting Karthik as his son-in-law. She meets Karthik, a widower now.But at the same time, there is Pawan (Prabhu Deva) - a childhood fiend of Bhanu - who is deeply in love with her. Bhanu along with Pawan visits Karthik. When Karthik realizes the intentions of Bhanu, he fixes Pawan as the fiancée for her. Karthik loves Bhanu, but is hesitating to repeat the history by marrying a girl against the wishes of family. Also, Pawan comes and pleases Karthik to marry Bhanu as he can tell that Bhanu is not happy about the marriage.

Annayya (Telugu: అన్నయ్య) is a Tollywood film which released on January 7, 2000 and was directed by Mutyala Subbayya.Music was composed by Mani Sharma. Rajaram (Chiranjeevi), owner of a fleet of lorries, meets Devi (Soundarya), the garment factory owner.Rajaram takes the incident lightly as the pranks of youngsters and is very lenient to them.On his brothers' request Rajaram approaches Devi for her sisters' hand in marriage to his brothers.Rajaram reacts sharply to it and vows to get his brothers married to her sisters.Devi agrees for their marriage.She insults him and leaves the place with her sisters.The two brothers being state rank holders in engineering find favor with a businessman, Rangarao (Saratbabu), who employs them. Piqued at being kicked out of home, his brothers, unaware of his hand in securing the partnership for them, nurse grudge against their brother and insult Rajaram in Devi's presence.This brings about a total change in them and the repentant duo go to Rangarao to restore the property to their brother.A furious Rajaram goes to Rangarao, who reveals him his real identity. This is Rangarao's vendetta. The film had collected a distributors' share of Rs.60 million in the initial 2 weeks after its release.

Bommarillu (Telugu: బొమ్మరిల్లు (help·info), English: A toy-house) is a 2006 Telugu musical and romantic film which was directed and co-written by Bhaskar while Dil Raju produced the film. Owing to its box office success, it was remade in to the successful Tamil film, Santosh Subramaniam.The film primarily revolves around a father and son relationship with the father's dote on his son ironically leaving a bitter taste with the latter.The father has a justification in the form of his dream, that is to build a dream house - Bommarillu. The film concludes with the father's repentance on his foolishness and the happy marriage of the protagonists.On its way to winning accolades and rave reviews, the film went on to win the Filmfare Awards among other prominent awards.The film begins with a baby taking his initial steps on a beach while the father is supporting him.As the credits roll, a visibly angry Siddhu (Siddharth) begins uttering abuses at all the fathers in the world. He cites instances where his choices of dressing, hairdo and many others are stashed away by his father’s. Post-credits, Satti (Sunil), the Arvind dutiful household’s servant wakes up Siddhu in the morning.At the dining table, Arvind, Managing Director of their construction company, inquires if Siddhu will join their office for managing their business. The next week, he returns home to realize that he is going to get engaged to Subbulakshmi (Neha) against his wishes. When his love for Hasini deepens, he wishes to propose to her. On knowing of him being engaged, Hasini gets dejected, but comes back a day later and asks him to do what he wishes for and accepts his proposal.Siddhu is admonished back home and he expresses his disinterest in marriage with Subbulakshmi. He convinces Hasini to stay at his house after seeking permission from her father, Kanaka Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao). As she settles down in the house, one after the other begins to like her.In the meanwhile, Arvind reprimands Siddhu when he knows of his bank loan and his plans, only to further enrage Siddhu.A cheerful Hasini cheers up the ceremony with her playful nature. Hasini realizes her father's presence and quickly exits to avoid his attention.A sad and angry Hasini moves out of the house saying that she does not find Siddhu the same and that she cannot put on an act if she stays in their house.Lakshmi confronts Arvind on Siddhu’s choices and wants. Siddhu requests Subbulakshmi and her parents to call off the impending marriage. In return, Kanaka Rao wants to know more about Siddhu by having him live in house for a week.Siddharth Narayan as Siddu. However, when the plans of making the film arose, an element of love between the protagonists was added. He cites personal examples of some scenes from the movie such as the choice of clothes for Siddhu by Arvind, the head-bump between the lead actors and Lakshmi singing in the kitchen.For the film, Vijay said that he made use of Arriflex 435 camera and Hawk lenses.They used to converse in a closed room with a voice recorder, allowing the dialogues in the script to be natural.After filming, the length of the movie reel came to 16,200 feet (4,900 m) which amounted to a runtime of 3 hours and 15 minutes.This meant a reduction of the runtime by 25 minutes.The choice of Siddharth was because of the sheer relevance to the character in real life.The choice of Genelia was based on her natural vivacity in real life.More so, she liked the one line story that Raju told and also a few scenes that he narrated to her. The fact that her co-actor, Siddharth and she acted earlier together in Boys (2003), made them more comfortable to work with.The choice of Prakash Raj was easy as he befitted the character he portrayed while, Jayasudha was persuaded to play the role of the lead actor's mother.Several modifications were done by the art director, Prakash.For the film's music and soundtrack, Raju renewed his previous association (Arya and Bhadra) with Devi Sri Prasad. A feature of this film is Siddharth singing one of the tracks from the film.Bommarillu was released worldwide with 72 reels of the film's print. The film was released with a "U" (Universal: Suitable for all ages) certification by the Central Board of Film Certification of India. The reception in the United States was equally impressive.A September 2006 survey done in the United States by a popular entertainment portal revealed that the film was watched by an Indian expatriate population of 65,000, which generated a revenue of Rs. 30 million at that time.The film received rave reviews right from the story to the performances of the actors.Another such portal suggests the movie to the entire family. Similar reviews were voiced out by other such portals, many of which pointing out no real flaws from the film.A news report showcased the omnipresent piracy in the Telugu film industry by quoting the cheap prices at which the movie was being sold.The film's producer, Dil Raju ensured a special code on each distributed print to track piracy with a warning for copyright violation which would incur a fine or a jail term.The allegation pointed out that the film was made based on a compilation of short stories that was released in 1997.While director, Bhaskar, won awards for the best debutant director and screenplay, Abburi Ravi won the award for his dialogues. Jalsa (Telugu: జల్సా, English translation: Fun) is a 2008 Telugu film directed by Trivikram Srinivas, who returns after directing the hit Athadu, and produced by Allu Aravind, under the Geetha Arts banner. The soundtrack of the film, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, was launched on February 29, 2008. Sanjay Sahu (Pawan Kalyan) is the son of a poor farmer. This forces him to take a decision to retaliate against society, and he joins the naxalite movement.He falls in love with a police officer’s (Prakash Raj) daughter Indu (Kamalini Mukherjee).Again, Jyotsna alias Jo (Parvati Melton) and Bhagyamati alias Baagi (Ileana) enter his life.But her father does not accept the alliance, as he knows well that Sanjay is a former naxalite. Reddy fixes Baagi's marriage by force with his second son.Jalsa is the most widely released south Indian film ever with over 1000 screens worldwide on the opening day.Though many feel that there is no relation between the films title and the story, but many stated that the film's title "Jalsa(Mean Fun or Enjoy)" is in par with the mood of the film as it runs mostly on entertainment only.The movie grossed Rs 7,67,00,000 ($1.89 million USD) on its first day itself .Boxofficemojo.com ranked this film in 9th position amongst all the films that released worldwide that week, which is cited as a great achievement for a regional film.It maintained its place in the World Top 20 in its second week, by grossing about $2 million according to BoxOfficeMojo.This film completed 50 days in 282 centers all over the world.The soundtrack of the film was launched on February 29, 2008.The music got very good reviews from websites and an excellent response from the public itself.

62.Student No.1

Student No.1 is a Telugu movie starring Jr NTR and Gajala.Aditya (NTR) joins a law college in Vizag as a student.Aditya has a halo of mystery surrounding him throughout the first half where he is shown with a man of flashback. In the interval, we would come to know that Aditya is a criminal who faced charges for murder and is serving his life term in central jail of Vizag.

Aditya is in Hyderabad along with his parents.He wants to do Engineering and his father wants him to do Law.Meanwhile Aditya unintentionally murders a goon while saving a girl from getting raped.

The rest of the film is how Aditya wins the heart of his father with the law degree he earned.The film was released with 40 prints.The film was sold at a price of Rs.2.75 crores and collected Rs.12 crores.The film had a 50 day run in 73 centres.This movie had a 100 days run in 42 centres.

63.Aadi (film)

Aadi (Telugu: ఆది) is a Telugu film released in 2002 with Jr. NTR in the main lead.This hit film stands second in Jr. NTR's career, right behind Simhadri.This film led both the actor NTR JR and director V.V. Vinayak into instant stardom.The story is set in the backdrop of Rayalaseema.. Veera Reddy's deceased father is a well-known factionist in that area and owns a land of 4000 acres.Veera Reddy realizes that Siva Reddy is misusing the responsibility given to him.Upon coming to know about this, Siva Reddy attacks Veera Reddy and kills him and his wife. All the trusted people of Veera Reddy were put in jail for a life sentence for 14 years.We see the grown up Aadi (NTR) studying in a college.Veeranna raises Aadi in Hyderabad.Later on it is revealed that Nandu is the daughter of Siva Reddy.After a hiatus of 14 years, Aadi enters the Rayalaseema along with the just-released lieutenants and Veeranna to take revenge on Siva Reddy and get back all the land so that he can distribute it to the poor families.

64.Simhadri

Simhadri (Telugu: సింహాద్రి) is a 2003 Telugu film with Jr. NTR playing the lead role and Bhoomika, Ankitha, and Nassar playing the supporting roles. The film is the biggest hit in Jr. NTR's career.An innocuous and good-hearted lad Simhadri (Jr. NTR) is handpicked by Ram Bhupal Varma (Nassar). Kasturi (Ankita) is the grand daughter (daughter's daughter) of Ram Bhupal Varma.Once in a week, Simhadri visits a mentally retorted girl called Indu (Bhoomika Chawla).After coming to know about Ankita's liking towards Simhadri, Ram Bhupal Varma decides to get them married. The alliance breaks off.They found him at the banks of Godavari River along with Indu. When she comes back to her senses, she becomes a normal girl. Simhadri is hospitalized and is dying.In the flashback it is revealed that Ram Bhupal Varma's elder daughter Seeta (Seeta) elopes with a guy (Bhanu Chandar). Simhadri takes up the job of uniting family and visits Trivendrum.He convinces the separated family and when the reunion is about to happen, Seeta is stabbed by a local goon Nair (Rahul Dev).Nair and Bhai Saab belong to the same mafia.The local Kerala people starts calling him 'Singamalai'. Now Simhadri has two choices:to murder Indu's father so that all the lives on the train can be saved or he can let the bomb kill everyone on the train, including Indu's dad and Indu herself.As soon as Indu sees Simhadri kill her father, she gets hit in the head with a pole, causing her to become mentally challenged.Bhai Saab's men come to the hospital to kill Simhadri, but Simhadri, who had recovered and with the help of his friends and police, he takes down Bhai Saab and his goons.The film was released in 247 screens,including 21 in Karnataka,6 in Orissa and in Jayaprada,Chennai.The film had grossed Rs.63 millions in its opening week.It had a successful 50-days run in 173 centres and 100-day run in 147 centres.It had run for 175 days in 52 centres.

65.Samba (film)

Samba(Telugu: సాంబ) is a 2004 Telugu film directed by V.V. Vinayak.The movie deals with how important education is to kids.Dharmayya Naidu (Vijaya Kumar) lost his wife because he is uneducated.He realizes that the quarry he owns has good quality granite deposits.Prakash (Prakash Raj) is the son-in-law of Dharmayya Naidu.When Samba comes to know the reason behind his sister's suicide, he occupies the quarry and kills the brothers of Prakash. Samba and his nemesis Prakash take shelter in Kanchi and Amritsir respectively as police ban them from entering AP for a year.The rest of the story is all about how he returns to Seema and takes vengeance against Prakash and then starts serving in educational field.It was declared as an average grosser.The film had a 50-day run in 153 centres.

66.Ashok (film)

Ashok (Telugu: అశోక్) is a 2006 Telugu film directed by Surender Reddy (of Athanokkade fame).Auto mobile mechanic Ashok (Jr. NTR) is thrown out of his family's house by his is father (Prakash Raj), when his violent actions kill his grand mother (Ramaprabha). However, K.K.(Sonu Sood) also falls in love with Anjali, when he sees her involved in an accident. This angers Ashok who has, in the meantime, gone off to Delhi because of a plot by K.K and his mother (Vadipukarassi), which also involved Ashok's father. During the climax of the film Ashok is fighting K.K., whose mother arrives with the intention of shooting Ashok. Ashok is then free to tell Anjali of his undying love and we assume they go on to live happily ever after.The film has six songs composed by Mani Sharma.The film was shot in Super 35 format.The film released with 228 prints.Music by Mani Sharma was a big hit among the audiences.This film collected 10 crores in the opening week, which is approximately US$2.5 million.This film was also given an 'A' certificate, along with other Telugu releases in 2006 such as Bangaram, Pokiri, and Vikramarkudu.

67.Rakhi (film)

Rakhi (Telugu: రాఖీ) is a Telugu film directed by Krishna Vamsi and has Jr. NTR in the lead role and Ileana D'Cruz and Charmme Kaur in supporting roles.Although commercially its not a profitable venture bute the movie got excellent reviews.Rama Krishna or Rakhi(Jr. NTR) aspires to become railway stationmaster like his father (Chandramohan).For Rakhi, his sister Gayathri (Manjusha) is everything.The greedy in-laws burn her alive for more dowry. A police officer Meenakshi Iyer (Suhasini) convinces him to surrender before the law.Finally in jail, he kills his sister's friend's murderer like a tiger and in the climax, the main villain ministers .The court drama forms the rest of the story.The film has six songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad.The film was released in 545 screens,including 431 in andhra Pradesh,29 in Karnataka,6 in Orissa,3 in Tamil Nadu,3 in Mumbai and 73 in Overseas.The film had a 100-day run in 13-centres.Well known Malayali actress Mamta Mohandas who made her debut as a Telugu actress in Yamadonga movie has sung a song in this film.Bhavana Balachandran rejected a role in the film.

68.Yamadonga

Yamadonga (Telugu: యమదొంగ) is a 2007 socio-fantasy Telugu film which is directed by S.S. Rajamouli and produced by American based businessman P. Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and his wife Urmila Gangaraju.This is Jr. NTR's third time with S.S. Rajamouli. M. M. Keeravani, who composed music for all of S.S. Rajamouli's films, is composing music for the film.The film released on August 15, 2007, which also coincides with Independence day in India.raja(Jr. NTR), an orphan, is a ruthless robber. And then, he stumbles on a fine opportunity.The girl happens to be his childhood well-wisher and has always considered him her prince.But the villains play foul, and kill him. He creates confusion in Yamaloka by stealing Yamapasam as whoever in possession of Yamapasam will become Yama. After regaining power, Yama sends Raja back to earth, but only to take away his life once again.Audience are showing their overwhelming response for the scene where Hero enters like Tiger. This is another blockbuster in the combination of Rajamouli, and NTR. This film ran successfully for 50 days in 200+ theatres all over the world.Yamadonga grossed a share of Rs. 4.5 crores on the opening day.The film got very good reviews.

The DVD version of the film was released on February 29, 2008.It is available in 16:9 Anamorphic widescreen, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround, progressive 24 FPS, widescreen and NTSC format.Actress Priyamani slipped while walking on the stones and got her ankle sprained with minor bleeding injury during shooting.Kirat Bhattal and Meera Chopra rejected the offer for Priya Mani's role.

69.Kantri

Kantri (Telugu: కంత్రి) is a 2008 film starring Jr. NTR, Hansika Motwani, Tanisha Mukherjee, and Prakash Raj.The movie is produced by the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies banner, being produced by C. Ashwini Dutt.The opening scenes give you an indication of how the movie is going to shape up.However, when the family along with his old father is on its way home with the money, fellow villager PR backstabs, kills all and runs away with the money leaving his wife and son behind.Enters out hero, Kranti (NTR), who flexes his muscles, shakes his leg and gets into the gang of PR to earn money for his orphanage, where he grew up (he's orphaned at a very young age).Varalakshmi initially does not like Kranti.The director takes the audience to believe that Kranti is PR's son till the twist in the tale.The movie Kantri was released in more than 1080 theatres wordlwide with 430 prints.The Business in 'B' & 'C' Centers of Andhra Pradesh is Outstanding.The film took a good opening and is declared as a hit by the trade.Released on March 29, 2008, Kantri's soundtrack was composed by Mani Sharma whilst lyrics were penned by five different lyricists: Meher Ramesh, Ananth Sreeram, Sirivennela, Veturi, and Ramajogayya Sastry.
